Metal roofing
Metal roofing has long been a reliable option for homes in snow country. Its durability and longevity are arguably unmatched for homes that are subjected to long winters with extensive snow accumulations, such as the Truckee and Tahoe areas. Snow tends to slide off metal roofing surfaces rather than accumulate. However, not every home is a great candidate for metal roofing. Your roof’s architectural design, as well as your snow management planning for adjacent areas are factors that may determine if a metal roof is right for your home or cabin. Metal roofing cannot be installed by every roofer. Look for companies with experience and references before investing in a premium roofing system such as standing seam steel or stone coated steel tiles
